That little AMG, with only a 2 liter engine has some amazing performance, great launch mode, nice, perky yellow paint job, a great daily drive vehicle, but with a feisty spirit as well if you want to take to track.

If only Alfa knew how to make a car that wouldn’t fall apart in a few months more people would buy them. I also think they really needed to do a lot more on the interior refresh than they did. I really enjoyed the way the Giulia drives but I couldn’t pull the trigger on it after seeing so many reports of the car having major component failures and tons and tons of electronic gremlins. Car & Driver’s Giulia QF was a nightmare and I can only imagine what it would be like as a private person owning a car that was perpetually in the shop. Maybe Giulia Gen 2 will be able to fix a lot of the reliability issues but seeing that Alfa has had over 100 years to figure it out and thus far hasn’t, I won’t hold my breath. In today’s world where computers and robots build our cars and every automaker has pretty much the same sets of suppliers I don’t understand how some companies can still produce such unreliable rubbish while others like Toyota/Lexus and Hyundai/Kia can build cars that will easily eclipse 250K miles with little more than oil changes.
