What about the Tacoma? When I bought my 2014 it was 32k after taxes and fees. In 2020 I Traded it in for 25k that's 78% value in 6 years. Your list needs to be fixed.

The fact that UK financing is only 3 years and US financing is usually 5 years, and lately with increased prices is more commonly 6 years, really explains why there are more expensive cars sold in the US than the UK.

Just brought a 3 year old BMW active tourer 218d auto se with 15k on clock for £12k. £12k is a sweat spot for used cars. You get the best value of both worlds.

Too many people change their cars after 3-4 years in this day and age! Its lead to an almost disposable build quality for some brands. How about a video of models sold in 2010-2012 and, how they fare today!? I have a 03 yaris as my run around. It's in its 19th year and I can say with some certainty that a new yaris today, wont be alive in 2040! Also, a video on cult cars that have held or went up in value over the last 25yrs would be interesting. Alfa 147/156 GTAs, Golf R32s, BMW E46s, etc

I am not an expert, but I don't believe that the McLaren 765LT will depreciate that much. I thought it would stay roughly the same because it is that rare (only 765 cars)

Nah the Lamborghini urus should be number 1 , because there is a high demand and no supply they go up in value , they start from £159,000 however you can’t find one on autotrader that’s 3 years old and isn’t under £176,000

Go the opposite way around with the cars that you loose the most amount of money on so people like me who don't want to waste money on a car cab get a great deal on a 3-5 year old car

Well, back in 2017 did I find fully kitted out dacia cars from 2014 in sweden for a price of £1300 or there about. That is a 90% depreciation over 3 years. They are doing quite a lot better nowerdays

Tesla holds its value ridiculously well. I have alerts on all the major used car sites, not just locally but for the whole of France. Nearly every day: 0 new cars. It makes nabbing a bargain nearly impossible. If you want one then you need to pay the price. Phillip.

Just don’t add £15k of options to your Macan to get it to a ‘decent’ spec. I learnt that one the hard way! Better off buying the GTS where the spec is baked into the model variant and so residual value is better versus options being written down to 0 pretty much immediately.

Your comparison is not so good because you did not take in consideration the offer of each car , offer that the market gives. When the market has 10 used cars for sale, is normal that the price holds very well.

The car industry has gone nut's the last 15year's, massively overpriced to buy and loose a huge chunk in value the moment it's purchased. Look at the bmw comp spec, get a slightly tweeked map n sus setup for an extra 10/15grand. Matt get Joe, Yianni, and the rest, £5,000 limit best car you can get your hands on then have a shoot out to see which is the best value for money.

If this is in Australia, the top 3 should be all Toyotas... Camry, Prado, LandCruiser...

Looks like cars in the UK depcreciate quite fast... here 3 yrs / 24k miles depreciation is around 15-25% for most common cars.

Do need to completely disagree with these statistics. Firstly the most exciting car ford makes is the GT, Secondly only 765 McLaren's will be made 🤔 more like 120k worth of appreciation. Rare supercars dont depreciate Carwow. In fact buying on of these cars and selling shortly after is one of the easiest ways of making money. Rare like Senna, Chiron, La Ferrari, 918, Chiron. These cars appreciate. Cap guide uses live auction Data BTW. A Nissan GTR would cap at 16k but in the real world it's worth 30k Plus in any Market.

Something miraculous happend here in Brazil with my car lol, it's a chevrolet onix and after a year and two months of ownership, only 2 or 3 months after it was launched, it worths 97% of it's original price, and that's because i chose the manual, that depreciates the most, if i had the automatic, it would worth like 102% of it's original value, it's a shame i liked the car too much and blew the 25k plus 4k miles in a year tho lol
