What exactly is the definition of a supercar? A set of conditions, or rules or something, NOT including incredibly subjective terms like "soul" and "excitement". Gimme performance numbers - what does a car have to be able to do to be considered "super", or even "hyper"? Tell me why the R8 is a "supercar" but the Model S is not?

Insanely fast (Usually has 200+ MPH max speed, 2-3 seconds of 0-60 MPH acceleration, etc), insanely expensive (Usually has a 6-7 digit price-tag), and often has a very sleek, flat, low-to-the-ground design. Model S isn't a supercar because, while it does have immensely high acceleration (Mainly due to being electric), it doesn't have the insane speed or aerodynamic design that a supercar usually has. The Roadster, however, could easily be regarded as one.
